Beef Slaughter Supervisor

Skills Required:

- NCEA Levels 1,2,3 plus ideally Production Management Dip or Food/Meal qualification, but not essential
- Good communication skills
- Good people management / leadership skills
- Technical knowledge relating to Meat Processing, Health and Safety standards, etc

Duties Required:

- Overseeing daily production targets, minimising costs and adhering to quality and hygiene standards
- Managing staff including training and development
- Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policy including HACCP and RMP compliance processes and systems
- Responsible for HR systems and staff records
- Issuing relevant instructions in a clear, concise way and successfully negotiating where necessary to maintain a win-win working environment
- Imparting technical knowledge to staff and training / upgrading their capabilities where necessary
- Keeping control of costs and making improvements in the production process to help increase revenue
- Controlling all matters relating to Employment Law, Company Policies, Employment Contracts, I/R and administration
